Slippery roads trigger accidents

THIS rainy morning with the roads so slippery led to many accidents with one of them being a car sliding off Pahonyothin road while four other vehicles also collided and piled up there,  Khao Sod said this morning (March 27).

Pol. Lt. Col. Sarayuth Saengthong, traffic inspector at Klong Luang police station, said that the driver of a pickup truck with Bangkok registration plate lost control of the vehicle after hitting a traffic sign that had fallen down on the outbound side of Phahonyothin road near the expressway exit ramp in Klong Luang district of neighboring Pathum Thani province with part of it lying across the parallel road running next to it.

Moreover four other vehicles, one of them a bus but without any passengers, also collided with each other out there but there were no injuries.

According to the Thai Meteorological Department scattered thundershowers and gusty winds hit Bangkok today. From tomorrow till April 1, it will be hot with haze during the day but there will also be isolated scattered thundershowers. Minimum temperature is 24-27 °C and maximum temperature 32-35 °C.
