Yala extends opening of school term over Covid-19

The southern Thai province of Yala has extended the opening of the new school term to 30 June 2021after 9 more Covid-19 cases were found on June 8, 2021, increasing the total number of patients to 387.

All schools have been closed and any activities with a lot of people are banned. Students are now learning online.

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration in Yala is monitoring the situation daily.

A 33-year-old parent said the extension of the school term will affect the students.

“The school closure will affect my boy because I have to work and don’t have much time to teach him,” said the parent.
