AkeDo, two nights only – live at The Living Room

HEAD to at The Living Room at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit on July 17 and 18 at for an intimate evening of improvised classical music, jazz and swing with AkeDo from France.

For two nights only, internationally renowned violinist and pianist Akemi and Dominique Fillon will delight the audience at the intimate jazz venue with a memorable evening of music that embraces improvisation, humor, swing, and melancholy.

Akemi was born in 1979 in Orléans, France, to a Japanese mother and a German father. She began learning the violin at three years of age. A graduate of the Conservatoire de Paris, Akemi’s musical career includes touring and recording with the Opera of Paris, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France, Diana Krall, Vanessa Paradis, Harry Connick Junior, and many more.

Pianist, Dominique is the musical director of “Domtomfolies”, a special concert of artists from the French territories held during the annual Francofolies Music Festival in La Rochelle, France.  In 2012, Herbie Hancock invited him to participate in the creation of UNESCO’s first International Jazz Day, and to perform alongside Nicole Slack Jones, Ben Williams and Terri Lyne Carrington. Dominique composes for soundtracks, theater, documentaries and short films for television.
