Burger King’s ‘Sunburn Billboard’ Offers 999 Free Whoppers in Bangkok
Burger King, the renowned American burger brand, has unveiled its latest creative marketing campaign, ‘The Sunburn Billboard.’ This innovative initiative transforms Bangkok’s intense winter sunshine into 999 free flame-grilled Whoppers, offering a unique and engaging experience for customers.
The campaign centers around a groundbreaking billboard design equipped with a curved, magnifying glass-like panel that concentrates sunlight into a single focal point. The heat ignites a piece of paper on the billboard, revealing a hidden QR code. Burger King app users can scan the code to claim a free Whopper, valued at 179 baht. This promotion is available only at the Ratchadaphisek branch from December 19 to 31, 2024, limited to 999 redemptions.
Mr. Tanawat Damnernthong, General Manager of Burger (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated:
“This campaign showcases our commitment to delivering unique experiences and building strong brand recognition in Thailand. Over the years, we have successfully created viral marketing campaigns, such as the Real Cheese Burger with 20 layers of cheese and the Real Meat Burger. These efforts have increased our new customer base by 50% and quadrupled app memberships.”
‘The Sunburn Billboard’ transforms Thailand’s blazing winter sun into a playful, year-end gift, highlighting Burger King’s signature creativity. This experiential marketing approach is designed to leave a lasting impression and strengthen the brand’s connection with its audience.
