Today marks the grand opening of the inaugural CIOSH THAILAND at BITEC Bangna, signalling a new era in the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) industry and workplace safety standards. Featuring some 300 exhibitors from countries including China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, and Singapore, the exhibition will run until 7 June, offering Thai industries from automotive to construction, and oil and gas, and more, the opportunity to source from more than 3,000 PPE products and solutions.
The exhibition includes a dedicated area for fall protection demonstrations and a free Safety Consultation Clinic, where industry professionals and experts from the Safety Engineering

In his opening speech, Larry Lei, Chairman of the China Textile Commerce Association, highlighted the relevance of extending the CIOSH footprint beyond Shanghai, stating, “The decision to expand and bring CIOSH as a dedicated PPE marketplace to Bangkok, Thailand, was a strategic move in recognition of Thailand’s position as the manufacturing and industrial hub of Southeast Asia. CIOSH Shanghai has a rich history with 106 editions to date. Thailand, as an important country along the Belt and Road Initiative and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, is full of opportunities, and we are looking forward to a mutually beneficial cooperation and charting new paths for international and economic trade exchanges.”
According to the Guest-of-Honour, Mr Anuchit Sawat, Assistant Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, “CIOSH Thailand 2024 marks an important milestone as it signifies the first time that such an array of resources in the industrial sector is available. This includes a strategic location positioning Thailand as a ‘PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) industrial hub’ ready to connect trade and investment from around the world to Thailand; by creating a business ecosystem conducive to sustainable investment and business operations.”
Wolfram Diener, Chief Executive Officer and President of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, shared his perspective: “The vibrant markets of Southeast Asia, and Thailand’s position at the heart of this dynamic region, make it an excellent location for CIOSH THAILAND.” He adds, “The country’s booming manufacturing and infrastructure sectors, coupled with its proactive approach to improving safety standards, have created a significant demand for personal protective equipment. The timing for launching CIOSH THAILAND could not have been more opportune. We’re excited to host nearly 300 exhibitors from across the globe, including China, Singapore, Germany, and Thailand, in a sprawling 10,000-square-metre space filled with innovative products and services.”
