The Centre for Covid-19 situation Administration (CCSA) has ordered that 10 more types of businesses will have to temporarily close down due to the current Covid-19 situation in Thailand. The number of new cases continue to rise and more safety regulations are put in place to limit the spread of the virus. The CCSA revealed they will be recommending the governors of the 13 provinces to enforce the new order. CCSA reported on 21 July 2021, the new rules will help limit people from traveling outside their homes.
They are recommending the governors of the 13 red provinces to order 10 types of businesses to temporarily close down.
- Sport stadiums.
- Swimming Pools.
- Sport fields.
- Exhibition and convention centers.
- Learning centers.
- Public libraries.
- Museums, historical centers, and archaeological sites.
- Child development centers.
- Beauty salons and barber shops including those in malls.
- Public parks and botanical gardens.
There are also 3 types of businesses that can remain open with strict measurements.
- Nurseries with overnight childcare and those inside hospitals.
- Elderly care facilities with overnight or permanent care.
- The food zone in markets.
What do you think about the new safety regulations? Will closing these businesses help limit the spread of Covid-19? The goal is to minimize the people from leaving their homes. In Thailand today there are 13,002 new cases bringing the total number of cases to 439,477. A number of 8,248 cases have made a full recovery bringing the total number of recovered persons to 304,456. A number of 4,646 are now in medical care bringing the total of cases in medical care to 131,411. A number of 108 have died with relations to Covid-19 bringing the total of Covid-19 deaths to 3,610.
