400 Covid-19 cases at chicken factory in Saraburi Province

Polthawan Tianchaimongkol the Saraburi deputy governor reported to INN News on the current Covid-19 situation in the province. The Saraburi Provincial Public Health Office has tested over 5,000 employees at the factory, both local and foreign employees. Over 400 have been confirmed positive for the virus. There are now 3 field hospitals that can care for up to 750 patients. Health officials have informed villagers in the area of the current situation and how things are going.

Locals understand and are following the safety precautions set out by the health authorities to help limit the spread of Covid-19. The local health office reported that there are 87 new Covid-19 cases in Saraburi on 1 June 2021. Out of this number, 72 received the virus from the chicken meat factory in Kaeng Khoi District. The factory now has a total of 462 confirmed cases. There are 14 individuals considered as high risk coming into direct contact with confirmed cases.

 

 

Bangkok has also announced that 5 types of businesses will be allowed to open with certain safety precautions. This includes, 1. Museums and educational centers will be allowed to open if there are no large gatherings inside the building. 2. Tattoo shops, piercing shops, and nail salons are allowed to open with strict rules. If a Covid-19 case arises from the business, then the shop will have to close down for 14 days. 3. Beauty clinics and weight loss clinics are allowed to operate as usual. 4. Spas and massage businesses will be allowed to re-open but certain services are not allowed including face massages and more. Lastly, 5. Public parks are allowed to re-open with certain restrictions including no group gatherings and only water allowed inside.
