Bangkok is now deep cleaning all areas all day and night until with plans to not stop until the Coronavirus situations improve. Sakonthi Pattiyakul the Deputy Bangkok Governor posted on Facebook revealing that Bangkok is deep cleaning all 50 districts. This includes all public areas including 2,098 bus stops throughout the city. The bus stops will be deep cleaned 2 times a day at 14.00 and 21.00. This will continue until the Covid-19 situation in Thailand improves. The ground and chairs will be sprayed with disinfectants then wiped with 70% alcohol.
All BTS sky trains arriving at Kasetsart University BTS Station from 13.30-15.00 will be disinfected thoroughly before returning to work. All BTS stations will be deep cleaned 4 times a day at 5.30-6.00, 10.30-11.00,15.30-16.00, and from 20.30-21.00. All trains will then be disinfected again after BTS shuts down for the night. The deputy governor stated “This will continue until Covid-19 improves. The public workers are angels of Bangkok, every single one of them across the 50 districts. They will continue to clean all public areas all day, no small spots will be missed such as the staircase handles on the bridges, the bus stops, public walkways and chairs. Deep cleaning at least 2 times a day, give them some encouragement. #talk little do more”.
Commander in Chief, Royal Thai Army Gen. Apirat Kongsompong has ordered the Royal Thai Army Chemical Department to disinfect all public areas that may be risky in Covid-19. This includes nightclubs, bars, malls, and touristy areas. All night the army responsible for areas in Bangkok have disinfected the city all night. This includes Rama 1 Road, Pathum Wan, Rachaprasong Road, China Town, and other areas. The disinfectant used is Benzalkonium Chloride known as Sanisol 0.05%. This disinfectant has proven to effectively kill the Novel Coronavirus at a level that is safe for humans.
