Coronavirus update: KR flight attendant infected. Over 80,000 cases.

The Coronavirus COVID-19 is expanding its reach as The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that nations should be in a phase of preparedness for a pandemic. The virus started in China but there are now frightening number of cases in South Korea at 977 cases and 11 deaths, Italy at 287 cases and 7 deaths, Japan at 161 cases and 1 dead, Iran at 95 cases at 15 deaths, Singapore at 91 cases with no deaths, and Hongkong at 85 cases and 2 deaths.

Following right behind is the USA at 53 cases with no deaths, Thailand at 37 cases with no deaths, Taiwan at 31 cases with no deaths. The total count of Coronavirus Cases is now at 80,377 cases with 77,666 cases in China and total deaths at 2,707 deaths with 2,664 deaths in China. 49,766 cases are active with 40,551 cases in mild condition while 9,215 cases are in serious or critical condition (19%). 30,611 cases have been closed with an outcome of 27,904 cases that have recovered or discharged and a death number of 2,707, an average of 9%. The number of Coronavirus in South Korea has skyrocketed in a short period of time. The country has raised the national threat level to “red alert”, the highest level. With fear rising through the roof, South Korean Airlines has announced on 25 February 2020 that a flight attendant has been confirmed to have the Coronavirus. The airline has proceeded to disinfect all aircraft and flight attendants showing symptoms of the virus have been asked to self-quarantine, Business Insider reported. US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a level-three warning for South Korea on the 24th of this month.
