Phuket 21 COVID-19 cases in a day

There has been a high rise of COVID-19 cases in Phuket, 21 new confirmed cases just in a day. Many of the cases are estimated to have been infected while on Bang La Road in Patong, Phuket  Province. Phuket reported on 9 April 2020 that from 5 January to 8 April 2020 Phuket now has 161 COVID-19 cases and out of the number there are 21 new cases. The scary part is that many of these new cases are linked to Bang La Road, details of some cases out of the 21 new cases are as follows.

 

  1. Case 141: Thai male 23 years old currently unemployed. Close contact with case 104, the man started developing symptoms on 29 March 2020. There are 3 persons considered as high risk from being in close contact with this case.

 

  1. Case 146: Thai female 35 years old is an employee at a local entertainment business in Bang La and lives in Patong. The woman started developing symptoms on 25 March and since then there are 6 persons who are now considered as high risk coming into close contact with the woman.

 

  1. Case 147: Thai female 23 years old is an employee at a local entertainment business in Bang La and lives in Patong. This case works in the same business as case 146. She started developing symptoms on 7 April. There is 1 high-risk person that has come into close contact with this case.

 

  1. Case 148: Thai male 32 years old is an employee at a local entertainment business in Bang La and lives in Patong. This case works in the same business as case 73. He started developing symptoms on 21 March and has 1 person with high risk that has come into contact with the patient.

 

  1. Case 149: Thai female 39 years old is an employee at a local entertainment business in Bang La and lives in Kathu. She started developing symptoms on 2 April and has no high-risk case related to the patient.

 

  1. Case 150: Thai female 27 years old works as an employee at a local hotel in Patong. The patient works at the same hotel as case 113 and 135. She lives in Talad Nue and started developing symptoms on 30 March. This case has 1 person with high risk that has come into contact with the patient.
