Thai officials have implemented strict measures to protect the Novel Coronavirus from spreading in the country. The Immigration Police have received orders to scan every single person traveling in from China and other nations with risks to the dangerous sickness. The main signs of sickness include high fever above 38 Celcius, dry coughs, dizziness, and trouble breathing. Infectious Disease Control officials are allowed to take strict measures for the benefits of public safety.
The Department of Disease Control (DDC) has issued a statement on their website @ ddc.moph.go.th “If you have one or more of the following symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose and shortness of breath after traveling from Wuhan, China within 14 days. Please notify physician, nurse or health staff immediately”. If you have these symptoms from restricted areas including Wuhan, Zhejiang, Ezhou, Chibi, Huanggang, Lichuan, Jingzhou, Qianjiang, Xiantao, Huangshi, Xianning, Xiaogan, and Enshi seek immediate medical help or call the DDC hotline @ 1422. The MOPH is currently screening high-risk people (those who come from or have traveled in Wuhan) by 4 main measures.
- Strict thermal scanning and close watch for the symptoms from passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Muang Airport, Chiang Mai Airport, Krabi Airport, and Phuket Airport.

Special response preparation to the emerging infectious disease at all government hospitals, private hospitals, and at tourist attractions in the nation.

Screening at all hospitals for people showing symptoms (criteria of 2019-nCoV) including those with a history of returning from Wuhan.

Health educators screening members of their communities and medical standby for the 1422 DDC hotline.
There are currently 8 confirmed cases of the Novel Coronavirus in Thailand, all caught the virus in Wuhan. There is currently no human to human transmissions in the nation. Out of the 8 confirmed cases, 5 have returned home while 3 are still in close care at the hospital.
