3 Fake passport holders arrested, including nameless man.

The Immigration Police successfully arrested 3 foreigners in Suvarnabhumi Airport holding fake passports. The first person is a 47-year-old Iranian man with a position as a refugee in France. The next suspect person is a nameless man estimated to be about 57 years old using fake Burmese Passport, and the last person is a 28-year-old Kenyan woman.

All of the suspects were arrested in Suvarnabhumi Airport with the help of the airport officials and security. They were caught by the Biometrics system that revealed all the passports were fake or the passports belong to someone else when they handed it over to immigration.

 

The Iranian man used another person’s French passport to enter Thailand at the airport. He was traveling into Thailand from Germany and had a Cambodian Visa in the passport used at immigration.   Biometrics showed that the information in the chip was only 19% similar to the man’s appearance. They took him in for an interview and discovered that passport no.11AL18628 was sold to him by a friend for 520 Euros or about 17,500 THB. He was arrested on 23 September 2019 at 20.00 and will be prosecuted by the Suvarnabhumi Airport Police Station.

The next case is a mysterious man with no identity. He attempted to enter Thailand but was discovered by Immigration to be carrying a fake Burmese Passport. The man has an appearance similar to a Chinese man. When officials scanned the passport he was using it came up as a fake passport. The police took him in for an interview but he insisted that he is a Burmese Citizen, but the passport was truly fake and he purchased it for about 1,250 THB. The man was arrested on 25 September 2019 at 21.00.

 

The last case is a Kenyan woman trying to leave Thailand with a fake passport and a fake passport stamp. The woman revealed that she was in Thailand for business reasons. Mainly the clothing business where she would import clothes from Thailand to sell in Kenya. The woman stated that she stayed at Erawan House in Bangkok while in Thailand. Turns out the woman has overstayed in Thailand for 714 days. She was arrested on 30 September at 00.30.
