NAKHON Ratchasima, commonly known as Korat, will be holding a “Discounts in the Whole City of Korat” festival for 17 days next month in an effort to spur the economy in the second half of the year and expects to generate 1 billion baht cash flow, INN News said today (July 19).
Korat Governor Vichien Chanthranothai, in announcing this festival today, said it will be held during August 4-20 and 30-80% discounts are being offered by almost a thousand businesses including department stores, retail outlets, restaurants, hotels and tourist sites.
Chatchawan Wongchorn, president of Nakhon Ratchasima Chamber of Commerce, said over a hundred business operators are joining this festival and over 500 products are being sold at marked down prices.
There will be a lot of activities during these 17 days such as bus tours of Korat city and key tourist sites plus six temples. This province’s first fruit and vegetable fair will also be held during this festival and there will also be lots happening on Chompol walking street.
