ETCHED in the memory of many people is Dusit Zoo, which is also known as Khao Din, but this place that filled their hearts with joy will soon turn into a legend because it has been announced that it will be shutting down end of this month, Sanook! Travel columnist Peeranut P. wrote over the long weekend (August 11-13, 2018).
The inhabitants of this zoo will be moved to a new location at adjacent Pathum Thani province’s Klong 6, Rangsit subdistrict, Thanyaburi district.
Even as Khao Din gets ready to shut its doors soon, Thai children will definitely remember the fun they had at this zoo as would adults looking back at the time when they were children.
Because people are dismayed at Khao Din’s closure, we have collected poignant photos of this zoo to share with our readers.
Upon counting, we found out that Khao Din has been with Thais for 80 years and is also this country’s very first zoo.
