SOUTHERN coastal province of Phang Nga yesterday (Nov. 1) unveiled the Blue Andaman Happiness festival to welcome the tourism high season with this taking place during November 17-19, INN News reported.
Mr Sithichai Sakda, governor of Phang Nga, together with Mr Chuchart Onnchit, head of Tourism Authority of Thailand Phang Nga office, Miss Nanthida Atiset, president of Phang Nga Tourism Business Association and other officials said the cash circulation during this fun festival is expected to reach 700 million baht.
Miss Nanthida said the festival will take place in front of Khao Lak Center in Takua Pa district and will help launch the high season.
This province now has more rooms for tourists to stay in and it is essential for hotel, resort and hostel operators to raise the standard of their facilities because not only are local and national agencies checking international organizations are also doing so, she added.
Mr Chuchart said that the Phang Nga tourism office is getting ready to unveil this festival in Bangkok on November 8 and will be serving special burgers prepared by a highly-skilled chef of a hotel within the Phang Nga tourism business network for participants to enjoy.
