Café with a chill vibe in Samut Prakarn

A HUNDRED years old house surrounded by tall trees and superb landscape has now been transformed into Sanctuary Cafe & Restaurant which while maintaining the decades old tranquility also incorporates modernity with a few new structures.

Sanook! Travel columnist Peeranut P. recently visited Sanctuary’s café section with something this upscale being new for people living in Pak Nam subdistrict of adjacent Samut Prakarn province.

The first thing one notices upon stepping into the compound is that there are lots of trees, and they are very big one too and also very green. At night they are light up pretty lights which are pleasing to watch and help visitors relax.

The café itself is in a not very large glass building decorated in minimal pastel style with simplistic furniture and décor, this is truly a case of less being more.

This café is another great location for photographs with every corner being a good backdrop as the ambiance creates a softness.

Where the menu is concerned, there is a variety of cakes, sweets, pancakes, ice cream and lots of drinks to choose from.

This writer tried 3 items with the first being Crepe Cake with Strawberry Sauce, and the crepe cake turned out to be sweet to the right degree while the strawberry sauce was a bit sour, and both a good mix.

This was followed by Vanilla Ice Cream Pancakes, and there were as many as 4 pancakes heaped up and topped with a chocolate sauce with this being served with vanilla ice cream sprinkled with almonds.

There was also fresh honey to pour on top of the pancakes, and this sends this sweet dish through the calorie ceiling, but whether you have just the pancakes or with the vanilla ice cream, both are tasty in different ways.

This was ended with a drink called Yuzu Blue Hawaii, which the first impression is that it is as beautiful as the sea and with the first sip we get the taste of yuzu or critus junos fruit.

The taste of this fruit differs from your usual orange juice and those who have had it before will recognize it.

This place is recommended for those living in Samut Prakarn because now they have a chill café in their neighborhood and need not go  downtown to enjoy this sort of an ambiance.

There is a restaurant section too and it is said to have great food but this will be reviewed another day.
