Couples flock to register marriage at district of love
THE atmosphere this Valentine’s Day at Bang Rak, called the district of love because the word rak means love, is very lively with lots of couples flocking in to register their marriage and try their luck at getting a gold-plated certificate, Thai News Agency said today (Feb.14).
Altogether 10 gold-plated marriage certificates are being given out by this district today with this working out to be one an hour.
Those keen on registering their marriage today believe that doing so on this auspicious day at the district of love will ensure that their union will be complete and remain strong.
This year this district is also inviting couples to have Vitamin B9, also called folate or folic acid, to reduce the risk of birth defects by upto 50%.
Moreover those joining this fun event have a chance of winning various prizes include return air fares, accident insurance policies and electrical goods.
