Details of cool new train to Pattaya

AS Thai Residents reported last week about a new special air-conditioned weekends-only train to Pattaya, now the details of the schedule and fares have become available as follows:

Train Time Table

Outbound Train number 997, Bangkok – Ban Plu Ta Luang

“Available only on Saturday/Sunday”

Inbound Train number 998, Ban Plu Ta Luang – Bangkok

“Available only on Saturday/Sunday”

Ticket fare

Booking

  1. From Bangkok – Chon Buri till Ban Plu Ta Luang: 60 days maximum advance booking.
  2. From Bangkok – Chachoengsao Junction: 2 days maximum advance booking.
  3. From Chachoengsao Junction – Chon Buri till Ban Plu Ta Luang: 60 days maximum advance booking.
  4. From Si Racha Junction – Pattaya till Ban Plu Ta Luang: tickets available on the same day – no seat reservation.

Linking service

Public hire transport (both scheduled and chartered) are available at every stations to tourist attractions or towns.

Si Racha Junction Station has transport and motorcycles for hire to take you to a pier and from there to Ko Sichang (island).

Pattaya Station has transport for hire to get to Pattaya beach and Bali Hai Pier (to Ko Lan).

Pattaya Floating Market has songthaew (passenger mini truck) to Yanasangwararam temple and Suan Nong Nuch park.

Ban Plu Ta Luang Station has a scheduled songthaew to Sattahip and also chartered songthaew to tour Sattahip Naval Base or any other places.
