BOTH locals and tourists are flocking to the popular Thailand Tourism Festival 2017 which kicked off at Lumpini Park yesterday (Jan. 25) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand predicting that the fun event should rake in 400 million baht, Thai News Agency said.
Running until Sunday Jan. 29, the launch of this enjoyable festival was preceded over by Deputy Prime Minister General Thanasak Patimapragorn accompanied with Minister of Tourism and Sports Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul amid loud drum beats in the traditional Thai manner followed by a series of performances.
Open from noon till 10 p.m. each day, there are booths where visitors can get information about Chiang Mai, Sukhothai, Surat Thani, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Chachoengsao, and Udon Thani.
