NYAUNG Oo Phee Island is one of the first legendary Myanmar destinations to start gaining tourist attention with is stunning views, clear seawater, peaceful beach and perfect diving spots, Sanook.com’s columnist Peeranut P. wrote today (March 27).
Similar to other trips this writer has taken to Myanmar waters, the departure point was southern Thai Ranong province.
It is very easy to get there, with the boat trip from Ranong pier to the island being just an hour and 45 minutes. So it is really close to Thailand!
The writer and his companion had booked a 2-day, 1-night package and stayed at Victoria Cliff Resort which has both air-conditioned rooms and tents to rent, but they chose the former.
Those going there are advised to stay overnight rather than just opting for a day trip so as to have time to rest after diving and they would not have to take photographs in a rush.
The room this writer and his companion stayed in was very clean, comfortable and beautiful with the resort’s compound too being very clean.
Of course it was seafood dinner they were served but this was accompanied with some joyful entertainment.
Good diving spots are all around the island and easily reachable. During their dives there they even ran into big sea turtles.
Once there vacationers don’t really want to come back, it is that lovely, and if there are stars to be given this island would get full 5 stars.
