Super Poll expects Thailand free from Covid-19 in 3-6 months

A Super Poll Survey reported that the people expect Thailand will be free from Covid-19 within 3-6 months from now. Super Poll surveyed 1,255 people on topics relating to Covid-19 on 6-9 May 2020. 1 out of 3 people or about 33.9% have estimated that Thailand will be free from Covid-19 in 3-6 months. While 32.2% of people believe that Covid-19 will go away in less than 3 months from today. 21% of the people believe that it will take 9 months until Thailand is free from Covid-19.

When asked on the opinions on the ban of alcohol sales according to the emergency decree 77.5% of the people stated that the ban of alcohol sales including Beer, whiskey, and wine has helped greatly in minimizing the spread of the virus. While 22.5% of people believe that the ban does not help minimize the spread of the virus at all. Relating to the topic of alcohol sales during these times, 83.4% of the people agree that drinking in public areas should not be allowed. 82.5% stated that people should be educated to be aware of their responsibilities towards society. 80.5% stated that those who break the rules should be punished by ordering them to take care of disabled persons, DUI victims, and those affected by the use of alcohol. 80.3% stated that alcohol sale time restrictions should be made even shorter. 77.4% stated that law enforcement should be enhanced, and 73% stated that there should also be a limit to how much alcohol one can purchase.

 

When asked what the “New Normal” would be like for the people, 86.2% stated that they have been ordering more food through delivery applications and services. 83.7% stated that they are now more addicted to social media. 81.5% stated that there has been an increase in the use of social media and the internet. 79.8% know how to create a profile on different applications, and 79.1% are taking better care of their own health.

Lastly, the topic on the direction of the nation after Covid-19 was asked and 93.6% stated that they will increase the support in green energy along with reducing PM 2.5. 90% stated that online security should be improved, mainly on the safety of the internet, and cybercrimes. 86.5% stated that they hope for new careers, free hi-speed internet, free solar cells for agricultural use, and more.
