Welcome to the ‘Giant Toad Museum’ in Yasothorn

Mention a toad and many people will abruptly end any conversation about the animal.

For people in the northeastern Thai province of Yasothorn, the ‘Giant Toad Museum’ is one of the special landmarks in the world.

The museum was built by the Organization of National Science Museum to educate Thai people about the importance of the animal in protecting the environment.

The construction of the 20-metre-tall museum began in 2015 and it was opened to the public in 2019.

Inside the museum, visitors can learn about the toad and how it is related to environmental protection.

Visitors will be able to learn about 500 species of toads around the world as well as interesting places in Yasothorn.

Next to the museum is a building where visitors can learn about the long history of the Naga.

The museum is open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. It is closed on Tuesday.

The visiting fees are 40 baht for adults and 20 baht for children.
