Officials arrived and found Kattiyakorn Meeduangjan 15 year old, in shock. The team made sure she was safe before delivering her to the Sattahip K.M. 10 Hospital. The girl was surrounded by locals and tourists visiting the reservoir. The girl stated she was sitting on the edge of the water slider while it was raining. She slipped and fell down the slider into the water but currents were very strong and she was a bad swimmer. She was frightened and accidentally inhaled water. A good citizen nearby saw her fall into the water and saved the girl. Her fate would’ve been much worse if there was no one nearby.

The Huai Tu Reservoir is an attraction in Sattahip and because it has been raining continuously the water levels are high. Tourists head to the reservoir on the weekend for a swim and to experience the natural water slide. The current was stronger and the water was deeper than usual and the girl didn’t intend to go in the water as she realized her swimming wasn’t strong enough. The rain made the slider slippery and she accidentally fell in the water. Kattiyakorn is now safe at the hospital thanks to the good citizen and the rescue team.
