Police Lieutenant Colonel Krit Limjamrun from the Tollway 2 Police Station received a notification of a road accident at 3.30 am on 29 July 2023. A car had fallen off the Si Rat Tollway near the exit following the toll gate on Rama 6 Road, Bangkok.
Police notified the local rescue team and related officials before heading to the accident. Offcials arrived and spotted the Honda Civic with a Bangkok license plate. All 4 wheels had exploded and the engine crushed. The windshield was cracked and the ceiling was pushed in. Inside was the driver named Wachirayan 26 years old. The driver was injured, and the rescue team made sure he was safe before delivering the man to the Vimut Hospital. Investigation has revealed that the driver left Ngamwongwan Road heading to inner Bangkok on the Si Rat Tollway.
When the curve came to the tollway exit, Wachirayan drove off the tollway and the car fell 15 meters. Police are collecting all security footage from the tollway and nearby areas. They will talk with the man again once he received medical care from the hospital. The driver will receive an alcohol test to help determine what caused the accident. He will also face related charges. Judging from how high the car fell and the condition of the vehicle, it is a miracle the man is still alive and able to communicate fully.
