300 drones cheer for the King through Light and Sound

The Radio Control Airplane Modeler Sport Association (R.C.S.A.) and PTT Public Company Limited worked together in bringing 300 drones to cheer a light show in honor of the King’s coronation.

The event took place on the 6th of this month when the R.C.S.A. and PTT brought over 300 drones together in the Light and Sound Show displaying wonderful pictures made from the light of the drones at Sanam Luang.

The light show was divided into 2 sets, the first set was called “Honour the King” with the “King’s Coronation Song” playing along with the light show and the 2nd light show was called “The Symbol of The Nation” was played along the “Song of his Majesty the King”. The first show represented the love of the Thai people to the King and the Thai Royal Family. There was also an offer of good wishes towards the king as a good representation of the Kingdom.

The first light show included a picture of Thailand’s Map, The Thai Flag, The Thai word of Chakri Dynasty, The number 10 in Thai, the picture of Rama 10 and Rama 7, and the message of “Long Live The King”.

The 2nd light show was called “The Symbol of The Nation” was played along the “Song of His Majesty the King”. The light show represented the history of Thailand and the rich culture that runs through this country. Some of the pictures in the light show included a picture of the national animal of Thailand “The Elephant” and “The Cassia Fistula Flower” which is the national flower of Thailand.

Citizens filled up Sanam Luang all wearing yellow shirts that represented the love and respect that they have towards the King and the Royal Family. When the light show came on the people all brought out their phones and cameras to capture the beauty of the moment and as a souvenir to show that they were a part of Thailand’s great day of the King’s Coronation, an event that often takes place only once in a lifetime.
