Happy News to Dog and animal lovers today as 5 dogs out of 29 that were left to die in an abandoned home at Songkhla Province are preparing to travel to the USA in September 2019 and meet their new owners who will love them until their last day on earth.
The latest reports on the 23rd of this month (August 2019) of the 29 dogs and 8 cats that were left at an abandoned house is very good news. Thanks to the Division of Animal Welfare and Veterinary Service and Smiledog Home all of the dogs and cats are becoming healthier every day. There are 2 members from Smiledog who are taking care of the animals in Songkhla. They have a safe place to stay, water and food every day, daily cleaning, and a team of vets from Song Tale Veterinary Clinic ready to take care of them at all times.
The animals are slowly gaining more weight as all of them were skin and bones at the time of the rescue. Animal lovers have contacted the Smiledog Home to adopt the animals into safe homes. The new owners will have to be screened to protect the animals to never be abandoned again.
The owner of Thai Street Paws Rescue is an Australian Teacher teaching in Songkhla. She has been a major part in saving the dogs and is the reason why 5 of them will be traveling to the USA next month. Tamara Johnston has been rescuing Thai stray dogs and finds new owners for them without any adoption costs except the travel fee for the animals.
Siripun Knampromwong from Smiledog Home states that the dogs have been happier since the rescue. They are playing with each other and have enough space to run around. There are still some animals available for adoption, those who are interested can contact via the Facebook page.
