2 homes burned down and a total of 3 homes with damages after an electrical fire took place in Lampang Province. The incident took place at 12.45 on 8 July 2022. The 191 Lampang station received notification of a fire in the main city of Lampang. Officials were sent to the location immediately. After inspection officials discovered that the fire started in house no. 1497. The homes are all 1 story and connected to each other. The incident location is inside a large village with many residents. Firefighters from Lampang Province and the Lampang rescue team went to put out the fire.
It took a while but after 30 minutes, they finally put out the flames. There are 3 homes damaged and 2 homes are almost burnt down completely. The 3rd home has damage on the roof. Police Colonel Nattawasut Sangnitsai from the Kelang Nakorn Police Station along with related officials went to inspect the homes. Kangwan 45 years old is one of the home owners, he also works for the Lampang Provincial government. He was at work when the fire started but his son was home. The fire started from a mobile air conditioner unit. His son escaped the fire in time and is injured in one leg.
The other home that also burned down was empty when the fire started. The owner was outside during the time and locked the doors. A family member came to unlock the door but it was too late. Luckily firefighters put down the fire before it could burn down any more homes. Investigation officials will continue the investigation to confirm the cause of the fire. The Lampang Province has sent in officials to evaluate the damage and to also help the homeowners.
