A SERIES of deaths of alumni from the same boys school is spreading fear in the northern Thai district of Mae Sot, with superstitious people blaming it on “a curse” of the solar eclipse that occurred when they graduated in 1995, Sanook.com reported today (July 11).
The first alumnus died on April 13 this year. Three more deaths followed in May, June and July.
To protect themselves against what they believe to be the “curse of a solar eclipse,” the remaining alumni presented alms to local Buddhist monks yesterday.
