Assets worth 500 million baht seized from drug traders

The Justice Ministry together with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) have seized cash and assets worth more than 500 million baht from narcotic drug traders in Bangkok, Chon Buri, Samut Sakhon and Samut Prakan, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported yesterday (August 22, 2020).

The assets seized on August 19 include 1,000-baht weight of gold bars, Thai and foreign banknotes worth 1.2 million baht, 65 bank accounts worth 50 million baht, land and houses worth 340 million baht, 97 cars worth more than 83 million baht, 11 brand-name bags worth more than 800,000 baht, and jewelry worth 500,000 baht.

During the past eight months, the Justice Ministry has seized assets worth more than 2 billion baht from drug traders.
