Bangkok cancels Yaowarat New Year celebration over Covid-19
Bangkok Governor Assawin Kwanmuang announced today (Feb 5, 2021) that the annual Chinese New Year celebration in Yaowarat will be canceled to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
According to the governor, the Covid-19 situation is still unstable and it is dangerous to allow the gathering of a large number of people.
It is safe than sorry. And the governor hopes that Bangkok citizens and tourists understand the situation we are all facing.
