AFTER five years of construction, a beautiful white Buddhist temple was officially opened this morning (May 31, 2018) in the central Thai province of Ratchaburi, much to the joy of local people, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
Located in a vast 26-rai plot of land in Pakto District, the temple was built with 85 million baht in cash donated by Khunying Somnuek Premwattana, an 82-year-old millionaire in Bangkok.
The temple has six monks, and is headed by 38-year-old abbot Phra Mana Thanthammo.
