Big cave rescue party taking place next month
A BIG party to thank all those who helped rescue the 12 soccer boys and their coach from Tham Luang cave in northern Chiang Rai province is taking place on Thursday September 6, 2018, Prime Minister’s Office Minister Suvaphan Tanyuwatthana said today (August 17, 2018).
Called “United as One”, the party, which was postponed from August 1, will be taking place at the Royal Plaza after His Majesty the King granted permission to use the venue and will also be providing the food while Mahidol University is arranging the music and performance.
A total of 61,000 guests have been invited to join this party and among them are 300 foreigners from both within the country and overseas..
Members of the media who covered this dramatic rescue which was helped by cave divers and other specials from across the world have also been invited to join in.
The government has arranged accommodation for the guests and another meeting will be held on August 29 to finalize the details.
