Big drug bust in Bangkok nets 2 suspects

TWO members of a drug trafficking gang were arrested over the weekend and a large haul of 10.5 million amphetamine pills plus 12 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) was seized from them, INN News reported today (Dec. 4).

Pol.Gen. Chakthip Chaijinda, the head of the National Police, said police officers succeeded in arresting the 2 drug suspects, whose names he would not reveal as yet, on Saturday in Klong Sam Wa district of Bangkok.

Seized from them were as much as 10.5 million amphetamine pills, 12 kilograms of Ice and 6 vehicles.

Police had trailed the suspects after they showed signs of selling drugs to clients in Bangkok and nearby provinces. They surrounded the vehicle they were driving, and upon checking it found the 10.5 million amphetamine pills within.

Later they searched  a townhouse in Klong Sam Wah and condominium in Raminthra area, which the suspects used to store these drugs, and found the 12 kilograms of “ice” there.
