Police have discovered a big drug lot with 140 kilograms of heroin and 300 kilograms of crystal meth. The drugs were hidden in a truck with a fake license plate. Provincial Police Region 4 reported the arrest of a drug gang with 3 suspects on 30 June 2021. Officials from the Lao Luang Police Station and other related officials in Bueng Kan Province helped investigate the case leading to the arrest of the suspects. The suspects are Payu Nobnom 29-year-old from Surin Province, Adisak Kiewka 34-year-old from Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and Malida Nongkai 23-year-old from Udon Thani Province.
Officials also found evidence including 400 packs of heroin, a total weight of 140 kilograms. 300 packs of crystal meth, a total weight of about 300 kilograms. The suspects used a Toyota truck to move the drugs with an Udon Thani license plate. The truck was using a fake license plate and officials found the real plate number from Saraburi Province. Another vehicle a Nissan car was also found related to the case on 28 June 2021 at 12.30. Police stated that they received information of a drug delivery on 27 June 2021 at 17.00. An investigation was started with related officials and on 28 June 2021 at 6.30. The truck was found parked near a local village.
Police set out camp near the area and soon later at 13.00 the car drove into the area. Payu stepped out of the car and attempted to drive away the truck. Officials revealed themselves and searched the truck. Inside were 10 suspicious bags. The driver of the car saw police and made a run, but officials caught on. Inside the vehicle was Adisak and Malida. The suspicious items were opened in front of the suspects showing large amounts of drugs. The suspects along with the evidence was sent to the Lao Luang Police station waiting for prosecution.
