A BIG fire at a motorcycle office and showroom in central Saraburi province gutted over 600 motorbikes while a hospital opposite was chaotically evacuated, Sanook.com and Thai News Agency reported this morning (Feb. 16)
The fire at Watchara Thurakit Center Company’s Mitraphab branch in Mueang district spread across the 4-storey building and firemen from this city and nearby areas fought it for an hour before it was brought under control.
The firemen worked very hard to prevent the blaze from spreading to Mitraphab Memorial Hospital opposite where patients were evacuated in a big confusion.
Policemen later went in to check the burnt structure and found over 600 motorcycles gutted there, while the hospital was slightly damaged. They are still ascertaining the cause of the blaze.
