Burglars hit top Thai singer’s house

BURGLARS raided famous Thai singer Pop Pongkool’s house in Bangkapi area yesterday (June 25) and stole over 500,000 baht worth of valuables, INN News said today.

Pongkool Suebsung or Pop, 36, discovered that his house in soi Ramkhamhaeng 36 in Hua Mark area of Bangkapi district had been burgled when he returned home from a friend’s ordination at around 7 pm.

He quickly reported the crime to the Hua Mark police station mentioning that he had lost a Leica camera worth 130,000 baht, camera lens worth 90,000 baht, 10 baht weight gold chains, bracelets, amulets, rings, earrings as well as a computer altogether worth over 500,000 baht.

Pol. Lt. Col. Nopporn Srisukchart, deputy head of Hua Mark station, said forensic police found a lot of fingerprints so it was clear that more than one person was involved.

Police were now checking security camera footage and comparing the fingerprints lifted from the house to those of previous criminals who had committed similar crimes.
