ALL 13 members of the “Wild Boar” soccer team will be ordained later this month to make merit for Sgt Samarn Kunan, who drowned while trying to rescue them from a flooded cave in the northern Thai province of Chiang Rai, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported today (July 19, 2018).
The 13 boys this morning met the abbot of Phra That Doi Wao Temple in Mae Sai District, who granted them permission to ordain there.
Their ordination will take place at the temple on Friday July 27, 2018, which also marks the religious Asaraha Bhucha Day.
