Si Sa Ket provincial police yesterday (11 July 2020) dropped all charges against three elderly women who picked wild mushrooms inside an agricultural station in Nong Phai Sub-district of Si Sa Ket Province.
The police and district chief first negotiated with the chief of the agricultural station on 8 July, but he insisted on taking legal action against the three villagers, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
The Forestry Department director-general later intervened, and the chief of the agricultural station dropped all charges against the three women.
