The northern city of Chiang Mai is back to normal yesterday (May 8, 2020) after a tropical storm wreaked havoc in several parts of the province last night, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
Hardest hit was Sankampaeng District, where electricity poles were severely damaged, causing a power outage for nearly nine hours.
In Yangning sub-district, three houses and two cars were damaged and two electricity poles were torn down.
Sankampaeng District Officer Phubet Puttirattanaporn said no one was hurt in the incident.
