Chuvit quizzed about human trafficking at massage parlor

MASSAGE parlor tycoon turned politician Chuvit Kamolvisit was questioned for 5 hours about human trafficking at the raided Victoria’s: The Secret Forever massage parlor with arrest warrants also issued for 3 women in this case, Thai News Agency reported this morning (Jan. 18).

Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Srivara Rangseepromnakul said after personally questioning Chuvit that he is a witness being the founder and owner of this establishment, and that he got useful information from him.

However, documents state that the current owner and shareholder of this business is Sasithorn Wirathepsuporn.

Pol. Gen. Srivara added that if there is any information about anyone else related to this business he is ready to call them in for questioning, with 90 witnesses having been questioned so far.

Meanwhile the criminal court issued arrest warrants for 3 suspects in this case as requested by Wang Thong Lang police station.

The 3 suspects are Miss Suphatra Sarad, 25, Miss Yanisa Phromabutr, 31 and Miss Pratheuang Tutrasang, 38.

The 10 charges they face include colluding in human trafficking; more than 2 persons conspiring in human trafficking; together finding victims for human trafficking; together finding or encouraging children older than 15 but younger than 18 to satisfy others whether they were willing to do so or not; together taking individuals over 15 years of age but younger than 18 for obscene purposes; together hiding foreign workers to prevent their arrest; together encouraging children in risky behavior; and getting money or benefits from prostitution.
