A 51-year-old man on COVID-19 observation in a hospital in Samut Prakan province jumped to his death before dawn today (April 13, 2020).
The Narathiwat native had just returned to Thailand from a religious trip to Indonesia. He and his companions were put under a 14-day COVID-19 observation and had just one more day before being released from the hospital.
Hospital staff noticed that the man was stressful and they tried to console him. “You will fly home tomorrow,” they told him.
Before dawn, the man jumped to his death from the 8th-floor window of the hospital.
