A post went viral amongst Thai netizens about a herd of cows stealing watermelons from a roadside fruit stall while the owner was away. Facebook user Anuwat Chueasing posted a picture that showed the cows enjoying the juicy buffet while they were let to roam free on the land. The incident took place by the road in Buriram Province. The cows saw that there was no human to stop them and took the opportunity as an invitation to unlimited watermelons.
Anuwat captioned the post “Who do these cows belong to? Owner of the watermelons please come see what is happening. I tried chasing them away but it didn’t work”. The cows knew that this was probably a once in a lifetime occurrence and continued to dine on the giant fruits even after the human confronted them. The post has been shared over 2,500 times on Facebook with netizens commenting that whoever the cows belong to must’ve disappeared by now after what his animals have done. A netizen then commented that the watermelon seller must be rich if the owner of the cows chose to abandon them as they are worth much more than the damaged fruit.
In front of the fruit stall is a sign stating “Watermelons… Sweet” written in a black marker. Judging from the face of the cows, it seems like what the watermelon seller is claiming must be true. Anuwat later revealed that the watermelon seller went to pick up some more watermelons to sell. The watermelons were covered with large cloths but the attempt to conceal what was underneath did not work with the cows. Lucky for the watermelon seller, the owner of the cows and the seller knew each other and they solved the issue and no cows were harmed in the story.
