Crystal meth worth 450 million baht seized
IN the biggest drug seizure this year, Pattani provincial police today (May 13) seized 448 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) worth about 450 million baht, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
Acting on a tip-off, provincial police led by Governor Wiranand Pengchan searched a pickup truck as it stopped at a petrol station to drop off the drug. They found the crystal meth hidden under the car seats.
The drug courier and two other men in another pickup were taken to the provincial police station for interrogation.
