Dangerous joy ride lands woman in hot water
A YOUNG woman who used a small motorcycle to take her naked nephew on a joy ride at a busy intersection in southern Hat Yai city has been slapped with 3 traffic charges after photos went viral online, INN News reported today (May 20, 2018).
Pol Col Kittisak Sangthavorn, head of Hat Yai police station, sent Pol Lt-Col Varapong Hayiwang, chief of traffic police at this station, to track this woman down after photos of her biking down the busy Rat-Uthit-Phetkasem intersection at this city in southern Songkhla province stirred up a cyber storm over the danger to the approximately 3-year-old boy, and her inappropriate action.
Once tracked down this young woman was charged with using an unregistered motorcycle on the main road, riding without a license and not wearing a helmet.
This woman told police that she lived in this area and had biked to the entrance of the alley to deliver some goods, and brought her nephew along.
After that she went on a joy ride but did not intend to break the law, and was sorry for her action.
