Drug warehouse discovered in Khon Kaen
A drug warehouse has been discovered in Khon Kaen Province. The warehouse is located right in the main city of Khon Kaen, many types of drugs seized worth tens of millions of THB. Somsak Jangtrakun the Khon Kaen Governor, Police Major General Somchai Numtoh, Police Major General Puttipong Musijul, and other related officials reported the arrest of Jetsadaporn 35 years snd Jurairat 34 years old, both from Maha Sarakham Province. Officials also reported that evidence includes 523,272 Yaba pills, 3,036 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 5 kilograms of dried marijuana, a gun, and assets seized worth 1,150,726 THB.
Jetsadaporn stated that the drugs have been bought from a man named Sin in Laos. The drugs were smuggled into Thailand from Laos through Mukdahan Province. The drug group planned several meeting points in Khon Kaen Province to exchange the goods. All the product was then moved to an apartment building. There were 2 rooms rented by the suspects, a room was used as a drug warehouse while the other room was used as a bedroom. The bedroom often functions as a drug testing room, where the suspects offer full service to customers wanting to test out the drugs on the spot.
The Khon Kaen Governor stated that the suspects have admitted to being a part of an international drug group. They are paid 1 THB per Yaba pill sold and if all pills in the lot are sold out within the given time then they would receive an extra payment of 500,000 THB. Earnings from the sale of crystal meth and other drugs are separate from Yaba sales. History shows that the suspects will receive Yaba pills in bulk. The rooms have been rented for 4 months and there have been 5 Yaba lots delivered and sold. There are 200,000-400,000 Yaba pills per lot and 2-3 kilograms of crystal meth per lot. Officials received information about the suspect from smaller drug sellers and users.
