A THAI Buddhist monk was defrocked after he was found drunk in the popular Thai tourist town of Hua Hin today (March 9), the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
Acting on a tip-off, police officers found the monk in a drunken stupor in front of a local bank around 3 p.m. They searched his bag and found a bottle of liquor, but there was no identification paper in it.
The police said they would find out who sold him the liquor. But not before they took him to be defrocked at a local temple.
