An employee from a famous wine restaurant in Thailand has gone viral from a video showing her behavior towards a job seeker. The incident took place when a girl went to sign up for a job with the restaurant but was her application was denied by the employee. The employee pulled the girl’s mask off and chased her out of the business. The girl was filled with emotions afterwards and decided start recording. She walked back to the employee and asked why she was treated so badly. The store manager came out and tried to calm things down, but it didn’t help when the employee returned shouting at the girl.
The Facebook page “Wine Connection Thailand” published “The company has received notification about the incident and how the employee acted. The employee is new and has behaved in an unacceptable manner. The company cannot tolerate such actions and we have not let the issue go. The actions of such employee is not a representation of the company and she is not an example of the service standard we have always held. The employee has been let go”.
Netizens agree that the employee should be fired from the company, but it is not enough. She had no right to act so disrespectful toward a girl who was only searching for a job, if there were no positions available then all she needed to do was inform the girl. There is no need to push someone down, no matter what your position is or what your current emotions are. Netizens are also asking for proof that the woman has been fired.
