Ex-lesbian partner accused in acid attack on car

A WOMAN who works as a clerk in eastern Trat government office accused her ex-lesbian partner of splashing acid on her car, the Thai-language Matichon newspaper reported today (Nov. 27).

Pol. Capt. Narong Sokod, at Muang Trat station, questioned  Miss Porthip Chaphimai, 53, about the acid attack on her car which was parked at her house, and she fully blamed her former lesbian partner for this vandalism.

Miss Porthip said she transferred here from northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima province, or Korat, 2 years ago after a conflict with a former lesbian official there.

She said she broke up the relationship after the conflict but her ex-partner threatened to harm her. Despite this, she did not return to her  but threats continued,  with a pistol wielded to coerce her and her car being hit by another vehicle.

Last year her car window pane was also smashed, she said.

Pol. Capt. Narong said they were able to collect a fingerprint from the car and are checking whose it is, but this would take a little time.

A background check of the two women showed that both filed many complaints against each other in Nakhon Ratchasima, and the ex-lesbian partner had been ordered by court to stay away from Ms Porthip for  2 years.
