Fire hits Provincial Waterworks head office
FORENIC Science police moved in to gather evidence at the Province Waterworks Authority head office in Chang Wattana soi 1 after a fire raged there for over three hours last night destroying key documents, Thai News Agency said today (March 21).
The fire started on the top-most fourth floor which housed the offices of Water Activities Division 3 and the Provincial Waterworks Authority’s auditor general with one part holding key documents the latter was checking for corruption. One source told Thai News Agency that all the documents had been destroyed.
The officials from the Engineering Institute of Thailand and Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning will also be checking the building because there is a risk it might collapse as the fire lasted so long.
