A 35-year-old female seafood seller is quarantined at her home in Pone Pisai District of the northeastern province of Nong Khai after she was found with Covid-19, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported yesterday (Jan 1, 2021).
The woman went to Talad Thai Market in Samut Sakhon, adjoining Bangkok, on Dec 19 to buy seafood for sale in Ramkhamhaeng Soi 166 in Bangkok. The market was closed on Dec 22 and she and her husband went for medical-check-ups at the Klong Samwa Medical Center in Bangkok on Dec 28.
Her husband was not found with any problem, but she had to wait for check-up results. The couple then decided to drive home to Phone Pisai on Dec 29 and wait for the wife’s check-up results.
On Dec 30, the Klong Samwa Medical Center reported that the woman’s check-up was positive and advised her to quarantine herself on the second floor of their home.
Six persons who had been in close contacts with the woman were also quarantined.
